Who I am

This site belongs to Merki Tech LLC, run by me, Tobias Merki, in Kapolei, Hawaiʻi. Anything about privacy goes to info@merkitech.com and I answer it myself.

What I collect

Only what you type into the contact form: your name, your email address, a phone number if you choose to leave one, what you're interested in, and your message. Nothing is collected from you just for visiting.

The form sends that to me by email, through a small relay script that runs on the same server as this site. I use it for one thing — replying to you and, if it goes that way, working together. I don't sell it, share it, or add you to a mailing list, and I keep it only as long as I need it to reply and follow up.

Cookies, analytics and accounts

This site sets no tracking cookies, and there is nothing to sign up for or log into here.

It does count visitors, through Cloudflare Web Analytics — the privacy-first kind: no cookies, no fingerprinting, nothing stored on your device, and it doesn't follow you to other sites. What I get is page views and rough countries and browsers, enough to tell which pages people actually read. If I ever add anything more than that, I'll say so on this page first.

Who else is involved

• Cloudflare sits in front of this site for speed and security. Like any such service it may log connection details such as IP addresses, under its own privacy policy.
• The hosting provider, novatrend.ch in Switzerland, runs the server this site and the contact relay live on.
• The demo sites linked from this site (demo.merkitech.com and restaurant-demo.merkitech.com) are separate websites, built to show what I make; this page describes merkitech.com only.

Your choices

Email info@merkitech.com and I'll tell you what I have from you, or delete it. There's no form for that because there doesn't need to be — it's a short reply, and it's me on the other end.

If this page changes, the date at the top changes with it.
